Brainstorming with Clare de Lore: A New NZ Podcast on Brain Conditions

Most health podcasts talk to the experts. This one talks to the patients too.

Brainstorming with Clare de Lore is a Newstalk ZB podcast made in partnership with the University of Auckland's Centre for Brain Research (CBR). Each episode covers one brain condition. A CBR researcher explains the science: what the condition is, who it affects, what we know, and where the research is heading. Someone living with the condition tells the story from the inside.

That combination is rarer than it should be. Expert interviews and lived experience usually live in separate places. This podcast puts them in the same episode, with the same level of care.

New episodes come out every second Wednesday on iHeart and wherever you listen to podcasts.

For anyone connected to the brain injury community, this is worth adding to your feed. The Centre for Brain Research covers a wide range of neurological conditions, and the format respects listeners enough to give them both the science and the real-world consequences, without oversimplifying either.
